About the Artist

Deb’s work in oil, acrylic, pastel, charcoal, limited edition intaglio prints, and sculpture can be found in many private collections with current commissioned work in progress.
Deb began exhibiting her work at 13 while studying with artist Lanier Densmore. While under his instruction and by the age of 15, she received numerous awards in juried shows and at 19, her work was exhibited at a juried art festival along with 180 artists. She was awarded Best in Show, First Place in Painting, Second Place in Drawing and Design, and a Purchase Award.
Deb began study in Painting and Printmaking at Florida Junior College where one of her three-dimensional pieces was awarded First Place in Design then continued her work in Painting and Printmaking at the art college at Virgina Commonwealth University in Richmond. There she was introduced to the methods of the old masters and fell in love with their work, color, and processes.
Deb continues studying and is currently in private instruction with renowned portrait artist Ann Manry Kenyon.
